Chair
The Chair of History and Society of Southeast Asia is currently working on issues of politics and religion in Southeast Asia from the interface of political science and regional studies. Democratization and autocratization processes as well as the international relations and diplomatic activities of Southeast Asian states and their (religious) civil societies are of particular interest. The Chair's teaching and research are embedded in the global-historical contexts and networks of Southeast Asian societies.
