The IAAW STUDY DAY will showcase research projects by students of our MA program Asian & African Studies and feature two panel discussions and an exhibition space on current academic debates – this year on the use of diaspora. A wide range of topics – ranging from forms of belonging across Afro-Asian diaspora spaces, emerging digital diasporic communities to teaching diaspora studies in Berlin – will make this an insightful, interactive and thought-provoking event for anyone interested in New Area Studies at the Institute for Asian and African Studies and the wider Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
