Fabio is a doctoral student at the Institute for Asian and African Studies, Humboldt University Berlin (Germany) and the Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires (Argentina). The Binational Doctoral Program in Global Studies is jointly conducted by the two universities. His Ph.D. research focuses on the current ascendance of far-right movements around the world and how they are connected to social inequality and the contradictions of liberal democracy. His research interests include the far-right, social inequality, critical theory, class, climate change, and decolonial thought.

He is currently working in a DFG funded research project on "Power Elites" led by Prof. Daniel Bultmann.
