Welcome to the website of the South Asian Studies Department at the IAAW!
The South Asia Department consists of three working areas, the Department of South Asian Societies and Cultures (Prof Schneider), the former South Asia Seminar including the ongoing MIDA research project (Prof Mann) and the ERC research project DHARMA (Prof Schmiedchen).
The South Asia secretariat in room 204 will be staffed again from 23 April 2025, office hours in the summer semester 2025 are
