Mateeullah Tareen is a dedicated researcher passionate about language and cultural exchanges. He earned his PhD in South Asian Studies from IAAW at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where his research explored, "Community Affairs in Transition: Educated Youth’s Civic Engagement in Balochistan.”

With a Bachelor's degree in History from Government College University Lahore and a Master's in Public Policy from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt, Mateeullah Tareen brings a rich interdisciplinary perspective to his teaching. His professional experience spans Pakistan, Afghanistan, Czechia, and Germany, where he has worked as a researcher, project manager, and policy analyst.

As a Lecturer in Urdu at HU University, he relies on interactive, dialogue-driven, and hands-on approaches to language learning. His teaching incorporates real-world discussions, interactive learning strategies, and cultural immersion to help students engage deeply with the Urdu language.

Beyond teaching, his academic interests include youth activism, rural development, democratization, and parliamentary affairs.
