15.05. Roundtable: Ethnographic research of minoritised groups in increasingly remote settings
Zeit: 16:00
Invalidenstraße 118, 10115 Berlin, Room 507
Based on ethnographic research on minority issues in Russia, China and Central Asia, this roundtable aims to discuss what it means in methodological and epistemological terms to study minoritised groups (ethnic, religious) in settings framed by rigid security policies, persecution, ethnocide, and war. With 'increasingly remote settings', the roundtable is focusing on the relative inaccessibility of groups or places for certain kinds of research and the socio-political processes that construct this remoteness.
